Delivery & Collection

We ask that there is someone available to receive the delivery, as these are perishable goods we cannot redeliver. Whilst we try and accommodate all requests, we cannot cancel or refund orders for perishable products once we have sourced them at your instruction. Picnics are delivered fresh in a refrigerated vehicle or one of our cool box deliveries to the chosen address or event. You cannot collect from our kitchens; however, you can arrange a local point to collect from to us.

How far do you deliver?

Little Picnic Company will hand deliver your picnic/dinner box on the Isle Of Wight to your chosen destination. Beyond this distance, we will arrange DPD next day delivery. UK Mainland only Exception of Northern Island and Areas of Scotland past Edinburgh and outer Hebrides

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we can offer a delivery next day service via DPD nationwide. Tuesday to Saturday service only. This will include a picnic carry box and will be delivered in wool cool packaging.

Delivery by courier?

We/our courier will take all reasonable care to deliver to the address given. However, we will not be liable for non- delivery as a result of incorrect details provided or stolen packages. We will make every effort to communicate your delivery instructions to the courier, however we cannot guarantee delivery instructions will be followed.

Booked timed delivery slots are not available with our third-party courier service. However, they will provide you with a 1-hour delivery slot by text or email on day of delivery. We will always try our best to ensure punctual delivery for our clients and that the food arrives in good condition but cannot be held responsible if a delivery arrives late due to any circumstances impacting the availability of the courier or anything else outside of Little Picnic Company’s control.

Can I book a timed delivery with Little Picnic Company to deliver directly?

Booked time slots are available on checkout. If you require this to a more specific time do let us know and we will do our best to get it as close to that time required as possible.

How much notice do I need to give you to book a picnic?

As a rule, we need 72 hours notice. Although we do get very booked up at weekends, so the more notice the better!

Can you cater for corporate and virtual events?

We also have hampers for businesses of all sizes! Team building and virtual events are a very important part of running a modern business, be it a small group or large company gathering. This is why we have created a range of individual hampers that can be delivered to the door of your chosen address or venue. Visit our Corporate Picnic page.

How does my picnic arrive?

Your picnic will be delivered by one of our team in a refrigerated van or from one of our cool box carriers. Our picnics will be boxed up in a hamper with all your contents inside.

Where do I collect my picnic at an event?

A designated area will be assigned to collect your picnic at the event. This is usually near the entrance so look out for the picnic collection signs! Collection of picnics will only be available from gate opening times, for 3 hours.

What's included in my picnic?

All of our picnic baskets are made fresh each morning with the menu items you selected. They include disposable cutlery, plates, napkins & glasses that you’ll need for your picnic.

We don’t provide blankets (unless purchased from us) or cushions so make sure you grab a couple before you head off.

What do I do with my picnic basket afterwards?

All picnic baskets are for you to keep. You can upgrade to a wicker picnic basket for an extra £25.

How do I pay for my picnic?

We require payment for all hampers at least 72 hours before the picnic. This can be done directly via our website checkout. These details will be provided to you in an email on confirmation of your order.

Can you cater for special dietary requirements or allergies?

Absolutely! We are well versed at doing this for our big events and don’t want anybody to miss out on our delicious food because of a food allergy. We will provide suitable alternatives as close to the original menu as possible. If your food allergies are more complicated, we will arrange a call to work out the best solution.

For our picnics and dining at home boxes these will clearly be marked for Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and Dairy Free. Items are marked as containing nuts if the recipe includes nuts, but we cannot guarantee the absence of nuts in any of our products as we use them in our kitchens. The allergens stated on these products are subject to change, so please let us know when ordering of any allergies you have.

Unfortunately, we are unable to spilt boxes and mix dietary requirement.

What do we do if it is raining on the day of our picnic?

We always encourage our clients to have a wet weather option when choosing a venue for their picnic. We can’t control the weather as much as we would like to, and would love a beautiful sunny day for all of our picnics but understand this isn’t so.

Kids baskets

We know that kids often don’t like the stuff we like! So we also do picnic baskets for children aged 3 – 8 years.

Unlike adult baskets children’s baskets are catered for 1 child and come in a disposable basket.

How do I cancel my order?

We require 72 hours’ notice if you decide to cancel your picnic. If this is not cancelled within this time scale, 100% costs will be incurred, and no refund will be due. Please CONTACT US directly to arrange a cancellation & refund.

How long are vouchers valid?

Vouchers are valid for one year from purchase. This will be stated on your voucher. Purchase a Gift Voucher.

Recycle & Re-use

All of our picnic pots, trays and packaging are recyclable, as any plastics that have been used are PET and HDPE which are recyclable, and we encourage you to do this through your household waste. If your council does not have the facility to recycle these, you are welcome to return these to us when we deliver your next order for us to recycle. Similarly, you can either re-use or recycle the delivery box yourself.

We have also heard that once the pots and lids have been cleaned, they make great additions to the craft drawer – perfect for home schooling art lessons – we would love to see your creations!

If your delivery was made by courier, your thermo box will have come from Wool Cool – leaders in an eco-friendly way to deliver chilled goods. We are using biofill within the boxes – which is a 100% biodegradable product. As already mentioned, any plastics that have been used are PET and HDPE which are recyclable, and we encourage you to do this through your household waste.
